BABY LED WEANING: THE GUIDE TO INTRODUCING SOLID FOODS

strong emotional attachment is a bond that is grown between mother and child through breastfeeding. Psychologically, if forced or done too quickly, both the mother and infant may experience a certain amount of separation anxiety during weaning. It's best to think of it as a slow and gradual cycle when talking about weaning your infant, rather than a sudden and urgent occurrence.

Weaning will arrive for everyone at different times, much like any other occurrence in your child's life and from baby weaning plan to baby led weaning first foods and baby led weaning meal plan will all occur naturally when you will get a hand of it.
Your baby is an individual, and just as your individual the child learns to sit up, roll over, and crawl at different stages than any other child, so will the weaning process be underway. Note, weaning baby off formula is a slow process as the digestion and motor abilities of your infant will not be sufficiently developed for eating solid foods before six months so your baby led weaning recipes and baby led weaning starter foods should be accordingly.

 Weaning Guidelines

It's your call on when to wean your precious baby.
Health authorities ' recommendation is after 6 months but the practice and safety conditions of the baby show that adding solids to your baby as early as 4 months is no concern. At that time you should be able to save your baby from baby led weaning choking hazards. Weaning Rules

A baby who is initiated into his diet of solid foods must be in perfect health; the introduction of new foods will be slow and progressive; solid foods will be served with a baby spoon; new food will be recommended and not enforced if the kid rejects a specific food, you should not rely on not causing psychogenic anorexia.

Useful Utensils:

The only device we bought was a handheld mixer for weaning. Without a hand grinder, we managed to get by, although it would have been useful while attempting to get the stringy fibers from spinach, etc. Each of our own vegetables will be steamed, washed and then frozen into ice cube trays. Then the cubes could quickly be dumped into plastic bags and stored for up to eight weeks if it lasted so long! We purchased some of the canned infant custards only recently to bring a little variety to the pudding range of our family!

The do's and Don't of Weaning

Do....

  • To stimulate your baby's senses, offer a range of colours, shapes and textures in the food.
  • Try making your own baby weaning foods by following a few easy recipes to follow.
  • Please ensure you first test new foods for allergic reactions on your baby by following the' Four Day ' rule.
  • Give your baby's plenty of time to complete their food during a meal.
  • Attempt to synchronize the meal time of your family with that of the infant. Through mimicking the acts the kid will know more.

Don't....

  • Provide food that is high in salt and sugar. It covers processed foods such as cookies, candy and crisps. We don't need those products, nor benefit from the food's sugar or salt. The elevated salt and sugar levels are dangerous to your infant.
  • Do not leave your baby with food without monitoring.
  • Don't give out cutlery to your baby.

Advantages of Weaning:

  • There are some real advantages of using this technique when weaning babies:
  • This encourages your baby to join the family at mealtime while consuming similar food all while encouraging you to enjoy your own meal baby driven weaning fosters a less fussy attitude towards food and helps to build the natural curiosity of your baby to try things at least once.
  • Improve the motor skills of your infant (such as the small movements of your baby's limbs, feet, and hands) and the chewing skills.

Disadvantages of Weaning:

  • There are some minor inconveniences though!Giving your little one full control over feeding can only mean much mess! You'll have to accept that as part of the process.
  • Not all foods can form into forms of hand finger foods. We got around with some clever recipes at the end of this article that you can find.
  • You may be afraid your baby will choke. Do not let this worry you have developed natural reflexes of choking and vomiting as babies already.
  • Also, a baby will not develop the ability to move food backwards until they know how to swallow solid foods. It's all kind of normal.
  • You may find that you have more food to throw\ clean up than your baby does!

From the outset, we gave cooled, boiled water for our kid to drink with their meals from a training cup. She did not really drink a lot at first, but now she still likes tea, and filtered juice on occasion.
